The Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden is generally open to the public each year during the months of April to September (sometimes October). It opens daily between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday and between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays. However, to the volunteers who give their time to tend and prepare the plots and plants, and to the overall maintenance of development of the garden, it's open all year round!
Visitors are welcome to view the garden and chat to our volunteers. During the season, when the garden is open to the public, we aim to open our garden shop, La Choppe, every day from Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm. Here, visitors can purchase seasonal produce and locally made crafts.
Group visits and guided tours are available by arrangement, please email firstname.lastname@example.org (or simply click on the e-mail icon above) for more information.
There is no fee for entry to the garden, but donations, which go towards the annual running cost and ongoing restoration of the garden, are much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you to the island's Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden at Saumarez Park, a project which is unique to Guernsey, if not the Channel Islands.
