Opening Times

Our volunteers work to maintain the gardens and glasshouses of the Victorian Walled Kitchen Gardens throughout the year; however, because our charity is run entirely by volunteers, public access can only be arranged for specific times, although we do try and maximise the length of time we are open.  We should highlight that, again due to the voluntary natur of our staffing, the gardens are generally not open on public holidays. 

For the 2026 season we will be open from 28th March 2026 until 24th October 2026, the day on which we celebrate our final event of the year, Spooky Super Saturday.  After this we are open on each Saturday 10:00 am -1:00 pm up until Christmas; we are aiming for Saturday 19th December 2026 to be the last day of opening, although this is subject to volunteer availability.  This date will be confirmed in the coming months. 

Visitors are welcome to view the garden and chat to our volunteers.  Our garden shop is open from 10am - 4 pm Monday to  Friday, when volunteer shopkeepers are available, and on Saturdays from 10 am to 1pm.  Visitors can purchase seasonal produce and locally made crafts.

Entry to the garden is free but  donations are welcome.  All donations received go towards the ongoing restoration of the garden.
